We would love to welcome Anabelle O'Malley as this month's guest designer!
Anabelle has a beautiful, romantic style that works so well with our products. We just knew she would showcase them in such a lovely manner. We hope you will welcome Anabelle too!
1. When did you start scrapbooking and how did you get started? I had dabbled a bit with scrapbooking in the late 1990s, but since I was so busy with work I didn't have much time to scrap. Once my son was born, I decided to start creating scrapbooks for him. I started in the summer of 2004 and it has since become a full-fledged obsession!
2. From where do you draw inspiration? I love paper crafting products. They are often my inspiration . The colors and textures usually guide me. I also try to find inspiration in the events that I've photographed, whether these are everyday moments or holiday events. I like to create pages that my son will enjoy looking back on when he's older. Magazines like Country Living and Better Homes and Gardens as well as blogs like http://printpattern.blogspot.
3. Describe your style for us. I am a detailed kind of gal. I don't feel like a project is finished unless
there's lots of layering, some stitching and bling involved!
4. How do you go about designing a page? I usually pick my photos and then start pulling products. I never make sketches and, a lot of the time, I don't have an idea in mind for how I want the page or card to look. I just start moving things around and pulling in elements that I like to use. Somehow, they end up getting finished. ;)
5. In general, how long does it take you to do a page? It usually takes me 2 or 3 hours to finish a page, but sometimes I can get it done in an hour or so. Cards are generally about an hour. I'm not the
quickest scrapper!
6. What is your favorite Prima product? Hmmmm, so hard to choose. I LOVE the flowers, of course. Right now the Trellis Roses are my favorites. (Especially the Ivory ones.) I love spraying them with Glimmer Mist. I'm also loving the stitched mulberry papers. They are works of art themselves. I love how you don't need to add much to them to make a gorgeous page.
7. What are 3 other products that you can't live without?
Definitely patterned papers, glitter and stamps!
8. What is/was one of your favorite scrapbook trends/fads? I LOVE all things vintage. So, I'm so excited that one of the big trends right now is using vintage inspired ribbons, laces, and ephemera on projects.
9. Is there anything else you'd like to share with us? I'm so excited to be this month's Guest Designer. The design team's work is always so inspiring, so having my projects displayed along with theirs is just a thrill. Thanks to Prima for letting me play with such fun products!
Please feel free to visit's Anabelle's blog for more inspiration.

Splash is a very fun, color-filled layout using our stitched mulberry paper (534905) as a GREAT base (perfect for adding art mediums like Glimmer Mist too.) Layers of edged Tropics papers (840976, 840969) create a wave effect, while a sparkling turquoise crystal/pearl swirl (530457) adds the perfect touch to the design. TIP: add glitter to our Times alphas for a custom look (810054).
