1.
When did you start scrapbooking and how did you get started? I
started scrapbooking in 1997 after the birth of my first daughter. Ok,
don't laugh but I was watching the Rosie O'Donnell show and she was
showing off her scrapbook on her show. I thought it looked fun. That
next day when I was at Costco I found a scrapbook kit that included
everything in the kit. I knew I had to buy it and I've been
scrapbooking ever since!
2. From where do you draw inspiration? I really draw my most inspiration from my photos. I love to tell the story behind the photo. For design purposes I draw my inspiration from magazines, color combinations and home decorating blogs.
3. Describe your style for us. I'd say my style is pretty traditional. Lots of layers and dimension.
4. How do you go about designing a page? A lot of it depends on the photos I want to use. If I have quite a few photos that I want to show on a layout I design differently than say a single photo page. Also it depends on the subject matter. I've done some pages where I really want the focus to be on the photo so I will really minimize anything that could be a distraction from the photo.
5. In general, how long does it take you to do a page? Usually a couple of hours. But that's taking into account all the interruptions that occur during the day.
6. What is your favorite Prima product? Do I have to name just one? I've been in love with Prima ever since the Got Flowers in the glass milk jars! I love all the chipboard products available!
7. What are 3 other products that you can't live without? I cannot live without adhesive, patterned paper and the Chestnut Roan chalk cat eye ink.
8. What is/was one of your favorite scrapbook trends/fads? Having two girls I love that ribbon and flowers have been a main stay for a long time now. I can't imagine not having one of those two items, if not both on my projects.
9. Is there anything else you'd like to share with us? Thank you so
much for choosing me as the guest designer for Prima. I am truly
humbled and honored to have been chosen.

This adprable set of stockings is made completely from Prima's Christmas Fancy paper line (840303, 840310, 840327, etc.)! Laura cut them out, adorned them with laces, snowflakes, flowers and letters.
Here's a close-up of the first stocking! This is a great idea for spelling out a holiday greeting...a family name...or just make one for each member of your family!

For the next project Laura altered a bird house. Using Christmas Fancy papers, a Beauty Mark swag (840211-on the roof) and flocked, Letter Perfect red Prima letters Laura created a delightful whimsical centerpiece! (Tip: When altering items like this use a strong adhesive like Helmar Craft & Hobby PVA Glue.)

Next up we have a few seasonal cards! The first says Merry Christmas and it is FILLED with glittered goodness! Laura added glitter to the Prima Frosty Treat tree (527754), as well as the die-cut Voila felt (880149).
JOY is a beautiful card using non-traditional colors (all papers from our Christmas Fancy line.) The dot for the sentiment is created with a Say It In Crystal snowflake (525118)!
Laura's last project showcases our Crystal gingerbread man (525118)! Simply adhere him on some embossed kraft cardstock & Prima's Christmas Fancy paper line for extra interest. Laura tied the whole card together with holiday ribbon, a cute button and Letter Felt alphabet stickers (812089)!

Thank you, Laura, for sharing your time and talent with us during this busy Christmas season! We appreciate both you and your beautiful projects!
