1. How long have you been scrapbooking and how did you get started?
I have been scrapbooking since November 2005, shortly after my little girl was born.
I couldn't find a first year album that had everything that I was looking for, I wanted something where I could collect memories, photos, memorabilia and just a place where I could write down all the things that I wanted her to know. So I started to make my own. I saw an article about scrapbooking and that got me curious, so I searched the Internet, bought some papers and decorations, and was like a child in a candy store! And once I got started I was hooked:)

2. From where do you draw inspiration?
There are so many places that you can get inspiration from. I have my favorite scrapbookers (their blogs are on my daily blog check.) I can get inspired by a
photo. Sometimes I have even planned the whole layout before the pic is
even taken. * LOL* I get inspired by things my daughter say and do, and,
of course, by all the amazing talent that is out there.
3. Describe your style for us.
3. Describe your style for us.
That is a hard question, it varies a lot depending on which mood I am
in. Right now I think my style is very feminine and well decorated. I
love decorations. It is one of the most fun things with this hobby to to
find the right decorations for just that page. I love to rough it up as
well; love to use acrylic paint or just mess the layout up with ink and
distressing. I always have my edge distresser nearby when I scrap. Something you almost always see on my layouts are flowers! I couldn't live
without them!!!
4. How do you go about designing a page?
4. How do you go about designing a page?
It depends. Sometimes I have the whole
layout planned out before I even have taken the pic, and other times I
can sit down with the photo and go through the huge pile of papers to see if I get the perfect match. When that is done I go to to the fun
stuff: choosing decorations. I love going through my supplies...picking
out just the right things...testing back and forward to see what is right
for that photo and which feeling I wish to create on the page.
5. In general, how long does it take you to do a page?
5. In general, how long does it take you to do a page?
The fastest page I made took about 20 minutes, but, usually it takes about an hour.
6. What is your favorite Prima product?
Whats not to love? Can I say everything??? I love the flowers, of course, and the papers that always have so much fun...they have details that you can make your own decorations out of. I love that the lines are so versatile. I can easily find a paper for whatever I want to make: a vintage, freestyle, graphic or girly layout! I have a lot of Prima stuff in my stash since it is one of my absolute favorite brands! My hubby usually jokes about that I would almost open a flower store with the amount of flowers I have. *LOL*

Beauty is a great title for this adorable page! Malin used softer "Morning Song" papers (810399, 810436) and added a strip of bird shaped Voila (880101) to anchor the title (created with Prima chipboard letters-517083.) A scattering of gorgeous flowers (523770, 523657) are accented with a single swirl of crystals (522889)!
...........................................................................................................................................
For this layout, Malin started out with a sheet of Angelique paper (810313). After tearing a center out, she lined it with Morning Song paper (810399) and a wintery Prima Paintables (602437)! What a beautiful result! Malin then added clusters of snowy white flowers (527549) and then added clear ink and glittery embossing powder over the layout for a stunning shimmery effect!
..........................................................................................................................................................
On this layout Malin also used a Prima Paintables (602390) which she colored to match her photo! After tearing out the center she inserted a few coordinating papers (Morning Song-810382 and Cavalier-810351) and then framed her photo. Morning Song bird rub-ons (810894) and a purple chipboard title (517052) fill in the frame with color and design. Malin finishes the design with a few well-chosen accents: Antiqued Epoxy stickers (517854) and flocked Belle Fleur flowers (524449)!
........................................................................................................................................
How about a color-filled layout that just screams HAPPINESS? Starting out with Morning Song's beautiful paper (810405), Malin simply added the perfect photo, a cluster of flowers (including a Belle Fleur daisy-523459, a Morning Song epoxy (810160) and some Say It In Crystals! Cutting embellishments from patterned paper is a great way to stretch those scrap dollars too!
.............................................................................................................................................................
For Malin's last creation she used a floral Morning Song paper (810412) and then added her stunning photo, Painterly Petals flowers (524166) and a Say It In Crystals (522179) to bring it all together! Touches of Prima lace (810207) finish the layout off in style!

Thank you, Malin, for guest designing for us! Your layouts are absolutely STUNNING and you were wonderful to work with!!!
