We have a wonderful new guest designer from Norway to show off! We discovered Ingvild Bolme's work a few months back and found it absolutely delightful! We hope you enjoy her creations as much as we do!

- 1. When did you start scrapbooking and
how did you get started? I discovered scrapbooking by chance in spring 2006 and I
knew right away that this was the perfect hobby for me. I’ve always been
interested in photo, design, drawing, and painting; here I could combine all my
interests. I saw for an entire weekend scrapping my first layouts, I just
couldn’t put it away. The following week I spent a fortune in scrapping
equipment and since then I’ve been hooked.
2. From where do you draw
inspiration? I don’t really know where all the ideas come from. I surf
online and have been inspired by the many great scrappers out there, but it was
long after I started scrapping myself that I turned to the internet for
inspiration. Many ideas come after I’ve gone to bed or they’re just in my head
when I wake up in the morning. Sometimes they also just unfold as I work,
inspired by the pictures when it comes to theme and style, or the products I
plan to use.
3. Describe your style for us. I don’t know if I have a certain style, but I think
people associate me with a romantic, ‘maximalistic’ style. I tend to use a lot
of details in my layouts, but the style often depends on the photos I scrap. I
believe it’s mostly coincidental that I’ve scrapped as many ‘romantic’ layouts
as I have. I also like to be recognized by my use of paint and ink, which I use
to personalize the stuff I use. A 3D effect is also often found in my works, I
like to give my layouts some depth.
4. How do you go about designing a
page? I usually start with the picture I plan to scrap, I
choose the colour and style of my products after the theme and story I want to
scrap. Sometimes when I have an idea first of how it should look, I find the
products first then afterwards find a suitable picture.
5. In general, how long does it take you to do
a page? Well, because of my love for details I spend a
lot of time on my layout. I rarely use less than six hours, so 10 to 12 hours is
not unusual.
6. What is your favorite Prima
product? This question is almost impossible for me to
answer; Prima is one of my favourite brands and there are just so many great
things. But if I have to pinpoint something, it would be the wide variety of
beautiful flowers. I love flowers and the Prima flowers are thus, to me, the
greatest scrapping products there are. I also really like the patterned papers
and some of my all time favourite papers are also from Prima. I love ‘Say
it in Crystals’ and the gorgeous chipboard
alphabets. Not to mention the clear stamps, they’re soooo great! No, I’m not
able to pick a favourite.
7. What are 3 other products that you can't live
without? I really like metal embellishments and often
add some on my layouts. I also use overlays and rub-ons. I don’t think I
could make anything without ink and paint.
8. What is/was one of your favorite scrapbook
trends/fads? I’m not too into trends, for me the entire
product of what I make is most important. When it has been created and who
creates what I use is not of too much importance to me. But, I like self-made
die cuts from nice patterned paper and the use of old things, such as keys,
notepaper etc. These days I often sew on my layout as well.
9.
Is there anything else you'd
like to share with us? I would like to thank you for the chance to be your guest designer; it’s
an honour for me! I would like to thank you for the many great products you have
too that I enjoy so much every time I scrap. I would like to mention that I have
a blog; www.spinnvild.com where I post all my layouts and would like to welcome
everyone in and to have a look.

Ingvild's first layout is a masterpiece. She took a Prima Paintables (602390) and cut it apart to create a free-flowing edge! (If you want more stability you could easily attach the cut-out design to a clear transparency.) Just take a peek at all of those delightful details that she adds to all of her designs.

The close-up shot shows the cut-work, a gorgeous Prima Ambrosia flower (513450), along with Say It In Crystals (517366) and IOD clear tape (517816).
..........................................................................................................................................................................................
My Little Sunshine is a wonderful combination of layers and layers of texture! Ingvild layered a Paintables (602277), a few Caliope papers (602185) and a delicate scalloped piece to form her base. After distressing everything, she added the beautiful photo and all of her signature accents! Note the large flower which has been stitched on, crackled and painted and the large cut-piece of Caliope paper which is tucked under the photo and accents.

Here is a close-up of the altered Prima flowers (510138 and 509811), centered with a Vintage brad (517663). This is a fun technique to try on your Prima flowers! Simply add paint and then crackle medium for a whole new look!

Always Playful is a beautiful tribute to a father's love for his daughter! Ingvild knocks our socks off with her gorgeous paper cutting skills (using Caliope papers), as well as her layering of accents! The pink Say It In Crystals (517403) add the perfect amount of sparkle, while letting the photo take center stage!
.................................................................................................................................................................................................
The Caliope chipboard (516833) had a sentiment on it that didn't work well with this layout so Ingvild simply covered it up with Dymo tape. Cool idea!
...........................................................................................................................................................................................................
Ingvild's final layout highlights a beautiful collage of flowers which frame a precious photo of her daughter! The Belle Fleur Carnation (523459) first draws your eye with it's combination of white and turquoise colors, while a few Painterly Petals (524265) and Essentials 4 flowers (523787)add even more color and contrast! IOD's Times chipboard letters (517830) create the title and a strip of Prima's clear tape (517809) helps ground the design.

Thank you, Ingvild, for guest designing for Prima!
We absolutely love showing off the talented designers from all over the world!
