Today we have a guest designer from The Netherlands! Emine Pala has a talent for working with bright colors and creating stunning designs! Let's learn more about this very creative scrapbooker!
1. When did you start scrapbooking and how did you get started? I started scrapbooking almost 2 years ago. While I was searching through the
internet I came across a scrapbooking site. I decided to order a book about it. I had so many photos of my daughter who was 6 months old at
that moment. After I got the book I was totally inspired to start scrapbooking. I finished a couple of pages and then I took a long break... I started again a couple of months ago. And now it's totally my way of life!
2. From where do you draw inspiration?
Music inspires me to create a lot. Of course visiting online galleries, blogs, magazine's... I keep an inspiration file where I get a lot of inspiration from.
3. Describe your style for us.
My style is bold, FUNKY, artistic and kind of freestyle... I have an obsession for tracing patterns on papers and painting...especially ORANGE paint.
4. How do you go about designing a page?
First I print my photo's...then I gather papers, cardstock together...the design idea comes when I'm just playing around with the papers and photo's... I add the embellishments at the end. Sometimes I just play with some paint on my cardstock and build my page after that. The way I do it changes with every page. I love to play around and look at how it turns out. I'm NOT that kind of a scrapper who decides her design first. It all comes together while I'm playing and I love that freedom. You never know how it will turn out.
5. In general, how long does it take you to do a page?
Usually a day or two... I scrap at nights... the first night I do my basic layout and hang it on my wall. In the morning, when I'm busy with my two little girls, I keep looking at it and I decide if there is something missing or not (usually there is). That night when my kids are sleeping I finish my
page and take photos of it the next day.
6. What is your favorite Prima product?
This is really hard to say. I love ALL the prima products. But if I have to choose one then I will go for Forever Flowers, Got Flowers, the chipboard letters, the Sprites collection... EVERYTHING!
7. What are 3 other products that you can't live without?
Orange paint
3d foam
Rubons
8. What is/was one of your favorite scrapbook trends/fads?
Painting. I recently discovered playing with gesso and paint by my dear friend Jo-Anne. I'm totally hooked.

Emine rocks this layout about her scrapping friend, Nura (a former guest designer for Prima!) We love the way Emine altered the Prima flowers with pen and paint! This layout is bold, funky and totally catches your attention!

"Photo Shoot" shows off Emine's love for painting...and the color orange! The three photos are embellished with some gorgeous Prima flowers sprinkled around the design! (We love how Emine altered the large turquoise "Whisper" too!)

Don't you love the splash of flowers sprayed across this gorgeous layout? Emine created a 3-D effect by adding Prima daisies for the centers for the larger painted flowers. This stunning design should be framed!
